Little Talks II continues the exploration begun in Little Talks I, shifting focus toward atmosphere and the tactile language of textiles as vessels for memory and healing. It transforms the exhibition space into an intimate environment—an extended surface of the artist’s subjectivities—where light, shadow, and fabric come together to evoke the presence of scars.
Delicate, layered textiles resemble skin and wound, tracing the marks of emotional and physical trauma. These surfaces are not illustrative, but atmospheric and sensual—soft spaces that hold affect, silence, and care. Here, scars are not hidden but honoured as part of a body that is constantly becoming, more than one, always in motion.
Rooted in Feminist New Materialism and the Pedagogies of Taking Care (Atkinson, 2022), the work invites the audience into an embodied experience of little talks with quiet attention and relational presence. In this prosthetic space of art, subtle dialogues unfold between materials and bodies, artist and viewer, inviting a shared intimacy where care and attunement become forms of resistance.
